2018 was a great year for our Council because of the hard work and dedication of the Officers and Board members and the outstanding support of the General Membership. The Coast Guard Community Ceremony was a milestone for the Chatham County area, we
started giving awards to the Marine Corps Parris Island Marksmanship Instructors, both of our adopted Littoral Combat Ships are now at their home in Mayport, Fl and a new Community Affiliate joined the SNL Team. I encourage all members to take a look at our many programs and pick one area in which to become involved. You may have ideas and expertise that will enhance our Sea Service support programs. With your help, 2019 will be another outstanding year. O.C. Fowler - President

               May 21st  Meeting  Speaker

Berry Aldridge is our speaker for the May meeting. He is the Director of Ticketing for the Savannah Bananas baseball club. Since its formation in 2016, it has sold out for almost every game at Grayson Stadium.

As Berry will discuss, the Bananas have gained national recognition for ticket sales and marketing. The Bananas team is a member of the Coastal Plain League, which is a summer collegiate league.  More than 1500 of its players were drafted by Major League teams.  Additionally, the Bananas team has broken previous game attendance records. Savannah's interest and support of this team has been extraordinary.

The Navy League has been well represented at their home games.
